Christmas Home Tour 2020 - Part 2

Monday, December 14, 2020

Thank you all for your sweet comments on my social media about my home tour. Yesterday we started at the front porch, and today we will start on the back porch.

This is only our second year in this home in December and this is the first time that I have decorated the porch for Christmas.

The mantel was begging for garland and I love having Christmas trees back here since I had to move all of our palm trees and live tropical plants indoors to keep them out of the cold.

This isn't a Samsung Frame TV like we have in our living room, we just screen mirror different photos on it so that we don't have to look at a huge black screen.

I scored these snow skis at Walmart and they look adorable everywhere that I put them.

This view is getting ready to have a big change!!! I can't wait to show you.  You'll have to come back tomorrow to see what it is.   From here we will head into the kitchen.

I am loving all of the cute coffee mugs this year. I am obsessed!  I think that during a pandemic, we should embrace anything that brings us joy.

The breakfast room table is set for Christmas dinner already.
I know what you are thinking. The answer is no. No, we don't ever eat at this table.  We usually eat on the porch during the warmer months (March - October) and eat at the island this time of year.

That's it for downstairs, we will head upstairs to the master bedroom where I added just a couple of holiday touches.

I loved having fresh flowers in here after the wedding show that I did in November.  I decided to re-create the arrangement with these frosted faux florals from Michael's.

If you find some cane tables similar to these, will you please shoot me a message? They were a HomeGoods find that readers are always asking about and I have yet to find something really similar.

I added a flocked wreath to the mirror over our bed.

Have you mastered the art of casually draping a blanket over a bed? I just can't seem to get it right.  Thanks so much for sticking with me through this tour.  I'll be back in a couple of days with a candlelight tour and another hint of what's changing on the screen porch.

Can you guess what it is?
