Design Board Tutorial

I did something scary over the weekend, I hosted my first ever Design Board Tutorial!  It was scary to put myself out there with people that I don't even know. These are folks that I met in Facebook decorating groups.

My decorating loving friend Cierra wanted advice on what color to paint her shutters. Many of our decorating FB friends suggested black to tie into her black railings.

Cierra also considered white shutters with new white Chippendale railings.  I quickly threw together a couple of mockups for her using PowerPoint.  Her house is stunning with any trim color!

Speaking of Facebook decorating groups, did you even know that those were a thing?  I didn't until just a couple of months ago. They are a great group of folks with like-minded decorating tastes. I have gotten inspiration, advice, and even friendship from some of these boards.

Creating design boards before you is a great way to save money and help you conceptualize and envision the space.  It's also a great way to share your vision with your spouse.

If you want to know how you can create design boards like these with free software (Canva, PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides) let me know and I will add you to the invite for my next class.  You can use these boards for small projects such as what color to paint your front door or larger projects like redecorating an entire room.

Do you want to join my next class?  They are only 30 minutes and complimentary.
