Porch Updates

One of the top appeals of our new house was the fabulous screen porch.  We had a great screen porch on Everstone (our last house) as well, but this one is even bigger. We had one little issue though, it didn't have a wall for Nick's TV but now it does.

As you can see, we had our contractor install a shiplap wall to add privacy and to give us a wall in which to hang a TV.

This is what the porch looked like when we first toured the house.

Here's the porch with our furniture.

Here's a close up of the board and batten pony walls.

I just love how these bamboo nesting tables turned out with a coat of navy spray paint.

Before      After

We eat dinner here most nights.

Nick built the mantle and Lucas and I assisted with the installation. I think it's gorgeous! It definitely makes the space.

Here's a peek of how it looks on the evening with the string lights on.

Joe Joe has become quite the Porch Puppy.

This space is almost complete. I'm working on a succulent insert for the fire box to use when we don't need the fireplace insert. More on those plans later.

Happy 16th Anniversary to the love of my life, my sidekick, partner in crime and better half. I love you, Babe! This was our present to each other this year and I couldn't ask for a better gift or a better husband.
