Spring Home Tour

Monday, March 30, 2015

Hey ya'll!  I missed my Sunday Ramblings post yesterday, but I have a good excuse.  We celebrated Mason's 6th birthday on Saturday.  He had a blast with his best friends. Then on Sunday we went to the Brick Universe Lego Convention.

I have been working on adding some hints of spring to our home.  Come on in and check them out for yourself.

I don't go all out for Easter decorations, but I do like to add a hint of the holiday here and there.  The scalloped bowl on the foyer table is full of White House Easter eggs that Handsome Hubby collected throughout his childhood.

Photo bombers!

I don't know if I have ever showed our kitchen before, so here's a look.  I am in love with our new kitchen chairs.

I love our wooden box filled with grass (Handsome Hubby built it from a pallette) and it is even cuter with some bunnies and Easter eggs.

Oops!  Bunny down!

Do you decorate for Easter?

Millon Dollar Model Upstairs

Saturday, March 28, 2015

Yesterday I shared the first floor of the model home that I can't get out of my head.  The ceiling and details throughout were stunning.  When you go up stairs you walk into the Homework Landing.

From there you head down the hall to the bonus room.  I love it! My only complaint is that it is right off the Master Bedroom which defeats the purpose for me since it is the kids hang out space.

It was complete with a wet bar, microwave and beverage cooler drawers.

The Master Bedroom

I am a sucker for a claw foot tub.

This is the view from the upstairs Master Bedroom Balcony.

Three kids bedrooms.  I love the wallpaper panels in the "girl's room".

A view of the back of the house concludes the tour.

Photos don't do it justice, if you love peeking into real estate you should check it out.  This is not a sponsored post, I just think the house is really cool!

What was your favorite part?

Million Dollar Model

Thursday, March 26, 2015

We toured a gorgeous model house by Ashton Woods in Greys Landing  over the weekend.  We were all ready to move in and call it home. One small problem though, it was way over our budget. I will let the pictures do most of the talking.

When you first walk in the first room you see is the office.

Then to the right is the Dining Room.  I love the double chandeliers and the candle sconces.

Butler Pantry

Through the back hallway you pass through the Home Management Area. That name cracks me up!

Then there's the kitchen.  One word: ISLAND.  It could easily seat 5 people.  I want like this in our kitchen.  I just need to figure out the layout.  Oh, and can you see the glass cabinets that are backed by windows.

I also love the wood plank ceiling.  The ceilings throughout had amazing details.

The living room with a wall of sliding doors that allow the whole wall to be open to the infinity pool and lake view.

The view. Enough Said.

A close up of the fire pit.  Who wouldn't want to hang out here?

All images by Mike Drolet.

Tomorrow I will show you the upstairs.  What's your favorite room so far?

#1 Katie Rosenfeld

I am in love with the designs of Katie Rosenfeld. Her work is gorgeous!  I just love her balance of color and neutrals. Her spaces are classic while still being family friendly and comfortable.

#2 New Spring Line at Target: Clam Bowls

OMG! Target does it again!

These clam bowls look similar to the Ballard Design option that sells for $100.

#3 New Spring Line at Target: Gold Turtle

I love this turtle!  I can't think of a place to put him in our house so I did not bring one home with me.

#4 New Spring Line at Target: Gold Bamboo Mirror

This bamboo mirror is gorgeous and there is a matching bamboo tray.
